Shana Sarett is one of the most in-demand, glamorous & busiest DJ’s in Los Angeles and beyond.
Shana’s DJ career began spinning vinyl records with a collection she had amassed throughout her life, and in the last number of years she has turned her passion for music into a flourishing DJ career.
Most recently, Shana DJ’ed the red carpet premiere of Marvel’s new show Wonder Man, and spun the after party with none other than DJ Pee Wee (Anderson Paak) as well as the international premiere of the Focus Features film Girls Like Girls.
Some other highlights of the past year include DJing Amazon’s Obsessed Fest, opening for Trixie Mattel at The Solid Pink Disco at the iconic Hollywood Palladium, and setting the vibe as the pre-show DJ for Kesha’s sold-out performance at The KIA Forum.
To give just a few more examples; Shana has played movie premiere screenings and parties for major motion pictures such as M3GAN 2.0, Halloween Ends, Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, and Abigail. She regularly plays high profile social clubs and hotels throughout Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, has played events for major brands like BALA & Nasty Gal, publications such as Flaunt and Petit Mort Magazine, has partnered with Guitar Center, and played every legendary Los Angeles bar from Stones Throw’s iconic Gold Line in Highland Park to the iconic Chateau Marmont.
At Shana’s DJ sets you can expect to hear eclectic mixes from deep cut disco to new wave classics to queer pop bangers, funk, house and everything in between, expertly mixed with Sarett’s signature flair. She is the co-founder and resident DJ of three extremely successful dance parties in LA, “C*nty Classics” at Zebulon, “FLAME” at Hi Tops Los Feliz and her newest addition “Diva Down” at The Silverlake Lounge.
Shana has also had her hand in radio, after the success of her college radio show “Adopt Us Joni Mitchell” she picked things back up last year doing several guest shows on Dublab.
While Shana is rarely not DJing, on her nights off you can find her relaxing with her cat Reba under the giant Cher poster in their bedroom.
